Here's our current group of Heather Yoga Teachers! We can't always be in the same room at the same time! 😂 But we love our lovely family of wonderful teachers, staff, karma centre assistants and yogi community that make Heather Yoga what it is.

Big thanks for supporting your local yoga business, as well as your favourite vegan cafe @dandelionsaltaire We love being part of your yoga and wellness journey, and most importantly offering a place where community can get together. We often hear people talking about Holding Space (the home we created for Heather Yoga & Dandelion Cafe) as a home away from home. And that’s exactly what we're here for! 🧡

Iain is a beautiful teacher and we are so lucky to have him as part of our regular teaching team at Heather Yoga. He is passionate about creating welcoming spaces and really wants to de-mystify yoga classes, which can sometimes be overwhelming, confusing or feel impossible (especially for beginners).

Which is why Iain is perfect for leading this next 6 week’s beginners course! To help your build joy and confidence in your own yoga practice (whatever that might like like for you!)

Expect to learn the fundamentals of Yoga, an exploration of Yoga philosophy and a hugely supportive environment to help you find a way to practice that works for YOU!

That moment when we want to quit the thing we know

That moment when we want to quit the thing we know is the right thing to do…. holds so much gold for our growth and transformation - if we can pause, observe, stay present, and continue with the thing that is good for us. ⚡️✨

Listen to me sharing on this.

When motivation wavers and resistance creeps in, we notice ourselves getting distracted by other things.
The familiar tendencies of the mind start playing out, creating narratives to keep us in the known - because when we do something new, even if it’s good for us,
it can feel unfamiliar and unsafe to the mind.

That little voice appears:
“Stop.”
“Do it later.”
“Maybe when you feel different.”
“Now isn’t the right time.”

Resistance shows up. And this is where we get to stay. And shift.

Real change happens when we stay - imperfectly - in the discomfort, in the unknown, in the resistance.

We keep on keeping on.

This is how habits shift. How we interrupt old patterns.
How we learn to meet challenge differently and teach the nervous system a new response.⚡️

So remember this: That moment you want to quit you know is the right thing for you - this is the moment to notice the old habits, the distraction, the resistance and to stay, change, and move into the new!
